Responding to a question raised by Lester Keizer, CEO of Business Continuity Technologies about the issues facing the SMB marketplace, Senator Masto said that this was an important issue that needs to be solved to helping the small and medium size business of Nevada and the rest of the nation and that her office was doing everything it can to address this problem.

Later in a private conversation with the Senator, I had the privilege to further elaborate on our local and national needs as it relates to the growing threat of cybersecurity. When she heard that I was a member of the Channel Advisory Board for CompTIA (the largest IT Trade Association in the nation), she invited me to Washington DC to further brief her staff on the issues. Senator Masto is also a member of The Subcommittee on Communications, Technology and Innovation.

Earle Keizer, President and COO of BCT stated, “as a minority owned small business in Las Vegas, we are honored to be able to engage in this ongoing discussion to help solve one of the country’s biggest threats.”

Senator Catherine Cortez Masto is the first Latina Woman Senator in the history of the U.S.  Her grandfather crossed the Rio Grande and  immigrated from Chihuahua, Mexico.
