Bob brings 25 years of experience as an IT professional to the table and over 10 years of MSP experience. He holds certifications as a Datto Specialist, MCSE, MCP and CompTIA A+. He began his career as a young man for a local company in Florida.
Bob’s interest for Information Technology began to blossom after he graduated high school. He attended college at Indiana State University at Evansville and graduated with a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Computer Engineering. As he crafted his skill working for a small company, he decided to move on to a bigger stage. He started as a helpdesk engineer/field tech in Lee County Florida and worked his way up to project manager. As a project manager, he was charged with migrating an entire network system from Novell to Microsoft and he did so within the budgeted hours. He clearly exceeded expectations and was lauded by the client and management for his tireless efforts.
Another high visibility project he executed was setting up the National Red Cross Microsoft SBS network. Through his leadership and instruction, he trained approximately 150 individuals on how to operate the system. Bob moved on to “Central Florida MSP” where he was on the rise to become a subject matter expert in his career field. He managed over 3000 users on a hosted exchange server with very minimal downtime. He continued to climb the cooperate ladder and became the Director of Technology for a private school servicing over 1500 users. He dedicated several months of his own time to learn about VMWare and implemented virtual servers. His direct efforts resulted in greater efficiency for the users and engineers serving those users.
One of Bob’s greatest strengths is his patience and listening skills. He enjoys meeting with clients and is viewed as our client services champion. You could almost say he’s a magician because of his ability to help clients develop a technology road map for our clients in addition to helping them budget for future growth of their business through technology.
Since arriving at BCT, Bob has deeply inserted himself in the daily operations and has an excellent professional relationship with our clients. One of his biggest projects to date is getting the White Pine County School District set up with a program named GoGuardian. This application allows for management of devices and helps teachers monitor student activity on Chromebooks. Since then, he has been known as “Google Bob” at the school district. He is well versed in VoIP and has deployed over 150 phones for our various clients. Bob is a genuine, selfless individual with the client’s needs at the forefront of everything he does.
